Your cat's health, safety and wellbeing is our primary concern, so the following requirements will apply to every pet booked in for RSPCA Cat Boarding.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details.
RSPCA Cat Boarding has a strict vaccination policy. Unvaccinated cats will not be permitted to board with us in order to ensure the health and safety of all cats within our care.
All cats MUST have a current F3 vaccination within the last 12 months. You will be required to upload your cat's vaccination certificate at the time of booking.
If your cat has never been vaccinated, or if your cat has not been vaccinated in the last 12 months, they will not be permitted to board for at least 4 weeks from the date of their first vaccination. Once they receive their first annual vaccination, they will require a booster two weeks later, and then a two-week rest period before the cat is allowed to board.
Flea and worm treatments
All cats must be up to date with flea and worming treatments which will cover them for the full period of their stay. Any cats suspected to have fleas will have a treatment administered by our team at an additional cost of $20, which will be required to be paid at the time of checkout.
If your cat requires a treatment while boarding you can bring you own treatment with you and our team can administer this on the given date at no charge.
Under Western Australian law (the Cat Act 2011), all cats over six (6) months of age must be sterilised. Entire, or un-sterilised, cats will not be able to board with us.
Your cat's general health
Your cat will be given a general health check on arrival to assess for any health concerns. RSPCA WA reserves the right to refuse entry at any time for any reason. On assessment, if the cat looks unwell, you will be referred to your vet clinic and asked to provide a written confirmation of your cat's medical state before entry will be permitted.
Medication can be administered at an additional cost of $3 a day (which can be added as an option when making your booking).
Ample medication for the duration of your cat's stay must be supplied, along with clear written instructions.
Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to diabetic cats due to the strict timing requirements of their daily medication.
Please refer to our Special Requirements and Medication Policy for details.
All cats must be transported to and from RSPCA Cat Boarding in a secure pet carrier. No cardboard boxes are permitted.
Please refer to our Arrivals and Departures Policy for details.
